I've just discovered that there's a contact us page on the Perfect Pitch website, as well as a fan mail one. Us in this context is a bit of an exaggeration, because in reality the asset is just me. But there's a couple of links now attached to each episode, so I really hope that you'll get in touch from time to time wherever you are. And we, or rather I, will do my very best to get back to you. The Hungarian violinist Joseph Joachim, who died in 1907, once said that the Germans have four violin cardos. The greatest and the most uncompromising is Bay Haven. The one by Brahms lies with it in the richest and the most seductive was written by Magazine and the most annoyed and the hardest jewelry is Mandalism. Every single violent you've ever heard of has recorded it has more than one. And it's a piece never far away from either the airwaves or the concert hall. This makes it familiar to so many of us. And that can cause us as listeners to another long learning without engaging with the work properly, thereby making it harder to discern which areas an orchestra are better or less good than others. I mentioned that it was original. Many of them had grown weary of applause between movements, so all three are played without interruption. The debate about applause continues to this day. Personally, I am undeveloped and object, even if I prefer time. It's a delicate way it needs to be dramatic and attacking it in equal measure elsewhere. And if we do give it your proper attention, you'll not only appreciate its extraordinary beauty, but its technical difficulty as well. So let's listen to Mendelssohn's violin concert in full, meaning animal ramblings from me, played here by Hilary Hahn with the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Paavo Yevi.
