Perfect Pitch strikes the perfect balance between music and analysis. The show never loses its focus on music while offering something (usually just one thing) to pay attention to per piece. I also like the variety of selections - vocal and instrumental, solo and symphony, short and long - all with “a good tune” which is the unifying theme according to the host. This show manages to offer deep insights in classical music without unnecessary jargons. Nick’s calm voice and plain language are as charming as the music itself.
New listeners are highly recommended to start from the first few episodes which explain the purpose of the show while showcasing some stunningly beautiful classical pieces. I have listened to the first episode (with Bach, Schubert, Chopin and Beethoven) for half a dozen times by now, even while jogging.
